Job Description
A housemaid is responsible for carrying out domestic cleaning tasks and basic household maintenance to maintain a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment in a home or establishment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and appliances.
- Vacuuming and mopping floors.
- Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, and sinks.
- Making beds and changing linens.
- Washing, drying, and folding laundry.
- Ironing clothes as needed.
- Loading and unloading dishwashers, washing dishes by hand, and cleaning the kitchen.
- Organizing and tidying up common areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
- Disposing of trash and recycling.
- Cleaning windows and mirrors.
- Polishing silverware and other metal items.
- Maintaining a well-stocked supply of cleaning products and household supplies.
- Watering plants and taking care of other basic home maintenance tasks.
- Arranging fresh flowers or decorations in common areas.
- Adhering to a daily, weekly, or monthly cleaning schedule as established by the employer.
